Boston, MA… April 8, 2024

Marc Fucarile, a survivor of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, today announced the launch of Mobility Awareness Resource Community (or “M.A.R.C Network”) to provide support services to empower people who have experienced mobility impairments.  Fucarile, who lost his right leg and suffered damage to his left leg in the bombing, has spent more than a decade raising awareness of the issues resulting from mobility impairment, and the ability people with such condition have, to live full and enriched lives.  Since the 2013 bombing Fucarile has participated in several marathons and is an active skier, among other things.

The M.A.R.C Network is an online community providing sanctuary for individuals navigating mobility challenges, serving as a platform for members to exchange experiences, resources, and support to enhance the lives of those with mobility impairments.  In addition, it provides resources and services for their families, caregivers and friends.

Available online and as an app, the M.A.R.C. Network provides:

  • Access to Resources, facilitating connections to relevant providers, products, services, financial aid, and local resources.

  • Promotion of local, national, global, and virtual events to encourage participation and community engagement.

  • A Safe and supportive Community where individuals and their loved ones can connect, motivate, and uplift each other and receive guidance from those who’ve been there.

  • Inspirational and educational content to motivate members and improve their speed of recovery and overall quality of life.

  • Recognition and Rewards for those providing contributions and support.

  • Employment Opportunities through local and remote job opportunities to support member’s professional pursuits.

One of M.A.R.C. Network’s first strategic business partners is Marlborough Street Partners, a seasoned team of senior operating executives with extensive experience in building, managing and financing companies.  Collaborating with Fucarile and co-founder Kirk Hanson on a pro bono basis, Marlborough Street Partners is providing strategic support in forming a Public Benefits Corporation and refining the M.A.R.C. Network’s business model, platform development, content curation, sponsorship and monetization strategies.

“We are thrilled to have the support and experience of Marlborough Street Partners behind us as we bring the M.A.R.C. Network to life together,” said Fucarile.  “This innovative initiative will dramatically improve the lives of people dealing with mobility issues by uniting the community and its providers on one platform.”

“Marc Fucarile’s dedication to serving the mobility disability community is truly inspiring. Despite facing significant personal challenges, his unwavering commitment to making the M.A.R.C. Network a beacon of hope for those navigating mobility issues is remarkable,” said Marlborough Street Partners founder, Ken Marshall.
