Interim Leadership

Regardless of their stage of growth, companies often experience a gap in corporate leadership. While the company begins the often-lengthy process of replacing members of the executive management team, we can provide interim leadership for CXO roles.

  • A PE portfolio company sold a significant piece of its business resulting in the loss of its founding CEO. The company was struggling under a new, first time CEO and the Board wanted assistance to right the ship.

    MSP provided several interim and fractional resources including a CEO, CTO and CRO to work with Board and existing management team. After several quarters working with the Company, using the MSP Business Assessment methodology, a new business plan was developed and existing investors provided additional financing in support of the new plan. In an uncommon but acceptable outcome the Board extended offers of employment to the CEO and CTO and they stayed with the Company for several years. The Company was subsequently acquired by a Strategic.

Corporate and Advisory Boards

Boards perform a vital role but are only as effective as are their members. We can provide boards with fresh insight from experienced hands to contribute continuing advisory and oversight.

  • Working with the founders of a boot-strapped services company as members of the Advisory Board, two MSP partners led a process to complete a thorough assessment of the Company’s current state and potential to expand service offerings, develop additional channels, improve operating performance and position the company for a financing or sale of the business.

    The result was a detailed 3-year plan with specific critical success factors, action items, and KPIs. There was interest from several potential parties and the company was subsequently acquired by a Strategic.
